A. DESCRIPTION
Greetings! I know you will enjoy our ESL class this year. You will be preparing and learning how to pass the TAKS and the TELPAS along with Positive character traits which are so needed in today’s society.
B. ORGANIZATION
ESL class is structured in such a way that involves students opinions and thoughts about how to live using positive character traits in their daily lives; not only in school, but at home, and in society. There will be daily positive video clips that pertain to the character trait of the week, There will also be activities, assignments, and hands on activities with lots of cooperative learning.
C. COURSE OBJECTIVES
Please be advised that ESL falls under the Texas Education Agency English as a Second Language Curriculum.ESL PROGRAM Curriculum.
D. REQUIRED SUPPLIES
1-Spiral notebook for Journals will stay in class/make sure to put your name on it
1-Folder with brads for class work/make sure to put your name on it
1-Loose leaf paper
1-Pen (black or blue)
1-Pencil
1-Positive Attitude
E. GRADING PLAN
1. Daily work/Homework 40%
2. Unit Exam 40%
3. Six Weeks Exam 20%
Equals 100%
F. Homework
If class work is not completed in a timely manner it may assigned for homework.
